🔥 HOT
HOT Midi’s founder and CEO, Joanna Strober, recently sat down with Forbes to chat about the growing need for specialized menopause care—and it’s a conversation you won’t want to miss. "Women are looking for a room of one’s own for women’s healthcare," explains Strober. "The healthcare that’s out there has not been created for us women nor by us women. We want to match women's care with experts who understand women's care."

Women who start menopause at age 55 or later may have a lower risk of heart attack and stroke, shows a new study. Researchers found that later-in-life menopause is linked to healthier blood vessel function, possibly due to longer exposure to estrogen, which offers protective cardiovascular benefits. (When estrogen levels decline during menopause, the risk of cardiovascular disease tends to rise.)
Whatever age you were when menopause began, adding HRT to your Care Plan may also benefit your ticker. Starting HRT within ten years of your last period can lower the risk of heart disease. If you’re curious whether HRT is right for you, book a visit with a Midi clinician to explore your options.

“I feel 15 years younger!"
|
|
|
|
About a year ago, I started feeling constantly exhausted, even after a full night’s sleep. I was also sweating all the time, no matter the temperature, and struggled to keep my emotions in check.
On top of that, I couldn’t stop eating. I had recently lost 35 pounds for my wedding and was starting to put the weight back on. My primary care physician told me there wasn’t much he could do and recommended eating apples. Not exactly helpful.
When I shared my symptoms with my OB/GYN, she suggested hormone replacement therapy and medication for hot flashes. This helped with my mood and temperature regulation, but I was still constantly hungry. That’s when I decided to reach out to Midi.
My clinician took the time to really listen to me and prescribed semaglutide. Now, I’ve lost almost all the weight I gained after the wedding, and my cravings are finally under control. I feel like I’m 15 years younger!

Q: My orgasms are less intense these days—what’s going on?
A: Women often report that their orgasms feel weaker, or disappear altogether, during the menopause transition. Factors that dim sexual response include changes in blood flow to the vulva, vagina, and clitoris; nerve endings that don’t respond; vaginal dryness and pain with sex; and fatigue, mood changes, and medications that interfere with sexual response.
You don’t have to settle for an underwhelming “O” (or none at all). Safe, evidence-backed treatment options range from vaginal estrogen to Midi’s Custom Rx Arousal Cream. Book a Midi visit to discuss what solutions are best for you.
