We all know it’s not easy to be a caregiver, but a new study found that the stress of providing more than 15 hours of care a week can increase the severity of menopause symptoms. If you’re providing support for loved ones, it's crucial that you get support, too—from your community, family, friends, and a trusted Midi clinician if you’re managing menopause symptoms (on top of everything else!). |

Women’s heart issues are being missed far too often, shows a troubling survey from The Women’s Heart Alliance. In the past year, 84% of cardiologists reported seeing female patients whose heart problems were initially misdiagnosed by other providers.
It’s one more reason to be proactive about your heart health and know the signs of a heart attack. While chest pain is a classic, women may experience different symptoms: nausea, vomiting, unusual fatigue, excessive sweating, lightheadedness, dizziness, shortness of breath, or pain in the arms, neck, back, or jaw. If you notice any of these signs, call 911 immediately.
Another way to protect your ticker: hormone replacement therapy. Research shows that starting HRT within ten years of your last period can lower the risk of heart disease. If you’re curious whether HRT is right for you, book a visit with a Midi clinician to discuss your options.

What Every Black Woman Should Know about Perimenopause
Black women are 26% less likely to be prescribed hormone replacement therapy for menopause symptoms than with white women, shows research. Unconscious racial bias, lack of access to providers, and other factors play a role. But at Midi, we’re changing that. All of our clinical protocols consider race and culture, ensuring every patient gets the personalized care they deserve.
Join us to learn more—including how to advocate for the care you need—at Midi’s upcoming free webinar.

“HRT saved my career!"

My first perimenopause symptom was weight gain, then brain fog, fatigue, and mood swings, which made it difficult to stay on top of my work. I was showing up late to meetings and couldn’t retrieve the names of colleagues I’d known for years.
I stumbled upon Midi and quickly booked my first visit. My clinician asked me about my symptoms, health history, and preferred treatment options, and started me on HRT. Within a month, my memory issues and fatigue had eased up, but I still didn’t feel 100%.
Over the next few months, she tweaked my dosage until we got to a place where I felt great. Since then, I’ve lost 15 pounds, but more importantly, I’m back on my game at work. I was even recommended for an important job within my company—and got it!
