Safe, supportive spaces for women to openly discuss menopause and perimenopause are still far too rare, says a new Forbes article: “Outside of wellness retreats, social media, and female-focused circles, support for those navigating hormonal imbalances and fluctuations in the real, tangible world leaves much to be desired.”
At Midi, we’re working to change that. From advocating for more menopause-friendly workplaces to sponsoring Camp Be More*, the upcoming high-energy educational event created by Chalene Johnson, we’re creating real-world spaces where women feel seen and heard.
You can consider your virtual Midi visit your safest space—free of judgment, full of understanding. Our clinicians have heard it all (really, nothing surprises them), and they’re here to listen, validate, and support you every step of the way. Because you deserve care that takes you seriously. |

From Caregiver to Self-Care: Reclaim Your Well-Being During Menopause
For many women, menopause arrives during one of life’s busiest seasons—often while caring for children, aging parents, or both. In the midst of showing up for everyone else, your own well-being can quietly slip down the priority list. But it doesn’t have to be that way.
Join us for an upcoming conversation focused on you. We’ll share practical strategies to help you shift from constant caregiving to intentional self-care—so you can feel empowered and ready to thrive through midlife and beyond.

“My menopause journey started way earlier than I expected”
- Marissa W., 36 |
|
Menopause wasn't even on my radar. I'd been having night sweats for years, but blamed the down comforters. And I assumed my low libido was because of my SSRI and the weight gain was due to my diet. But when a blood test showed I had primary ovarian insufficiency (POI) and was actually post-menopausal at age 34, everything clicked.
Instead of explaining the results and what to do next, my doctor referred me to a fertility clinic. I sought out a new OBGYN, who answered all of my questions with "hormones are unpredictable.” Frustrated, I kept looking and found Midi.
My clinician actually understood what was happening. After a bit of adjusting, we landed on a combo of meds that are helping my symptoms: a vaginal ring, transdermal gel, and an IUD. When I found my new OBGYN (who I needed to see for the IUD), I felt prepared to advocate for myself.

The expert: Donna Gregory, APRN, Midi’s Clinical Director
Q: “Is HRT my only option for treating menopause symptoms?”
A: For many women, hormone replacement therapy (HRT) provides the most relief. But not everyone should take HRT—or wants to. Luckily, there’s a range of other options that can be used instead of HRT or alongside it, including:
-
Non-hormonal prescription medications, both FDA-approved (brisdelle and fezolinetant, for example) and those used off-label (like gapapentin and low-dose SSRIs)
-
Supplements and botanicals like Ashwaganda, magnesium, vitamin D, and black cohosh
-
Wellness therapies including acupuncture, cognitive behavioral therapy, and yoga.
-
Simple lifestyle shifts around sleep, mindfulness, nutrition, and exercise can be very effective
At Midi, we prescribe HRT in addition to all of these alternative solutions. To find out which treatment (or combination of solutions) is best for you, book a Midi visit.
