Where you live may affect your menopause journey—and the care you receive. A new study found that women in rural areas experience more mood swings, urinary incontinence, muscle aches and pains, panic attacks, and vaginal dryness compared with their urban counterparts. The study authors also noted rural women often decided to tough out their symptoms rather than seeking treatment, potentially due to the difficulty of accessing menopause specialists.
At Midi, we believe all women deserve expert menopause care—that’s why we’re virtual! Our video visits ensure no matter where you live, you can get a personalized Care Plan, and relief, asap.

“You’re going to wonder why you didn’t book a Midi visit sooner” Jenn W., Midi patient |
|
I came to Midi because I was struggling with my weight. Despite eating well and exercising, I couldn’t get rid of the belly fat—and it was driving me insane.
When I had my first visit with my Midi clinician, I was shocked. I expected to be rushed through and told there wasn't anything they could do for me. Instead, there was this sense of peace and understanding—my clinician told me how normal it was to have trouble losing weight after age 40.
The most surprising and helpful thing about my visit is I left with a plan, and no, the solution was not, “you need to eat better and exercise.” I actually got the help that no one else could give me. My clinician prescribed weight-loss medication, and it’s working. I’m losing weight, I'm not feeling deprived, and I have energy.
If you're considering clicking that book now button and meeting with a Midi clinician, stop thinking about it and just do it. It will change your life and you're going to wonder why you didn't do it sooner.

“What are safe menopause treatments if I have breast cancer?”
Breast cancer patients experiencing symptoms like hot flashes and vaginal dryness have a number of effective routes for finding relief. To start with, lifestyle modifications and supplements and botanicals (including black cohosh, maca, ashwagandha, and lavender) have been shown to help.
There are also many non-hormonal medications (for example, Brisdelle and Veozah) that can be very effective for treating hot flashes and night sweats, while vaginal estrogen can be helpful for treating dryness and painful sex. But what’s most important is individualizing your care—not all breast cancer is the same and your Midi clinician can help determine what’s right for you. |
