4 Ways to Support Hormones Naturally

First, let’s clear something up: “Hormonal balance” isn’t the goal. Hormones naturally rise and fall throughout the day, and your body is constantly working to keep those shifts in a healthy rhythm. But when levels stay too high or too low for long stretches especially in midlife—symptoms can stack up fast.

Hormone therapy is the most effective way to smooth out those fluctuations, but these nutrients can also naturally support hormonal health:

  • Phytoestrogens These plant-based compounds gently mimic estrogen and may ease hot flashes and mood changes. Good sources include soy, flax, and herbs like black cohosh, red clover, and maca.

  • L-theanine Naturally found in green tea, this amino acid helps calm the nervous system and may reduce stress and improve focus. (That’s why we added it to Midi’s Daily Cortisol Support supplement.)

  • Fiber Do-it-all-fiber supports gut health, cholesterol, blood sugar, and weight. Fiber-packed foods include whole grains, fruits, veggies, legumes, nuts, and seeds, but because most women fall short, we made it easy (and tasty) to hit your goal with Midi’s Daily Fiber+.

  • Vitamin D Essential for bone and brain health, natural sources include salmon, red meat, egg yolks, and fortified foods. Consider a supplement if you don’t get enough through food.

  • Magnesium If there’s one mineral midlife women consistently need more of, it’s magnesium, which supports hormones that protect the heart and bones and may improve sleep. (It’s also in our Daily Cortisol Support supplement.)

If you’re still not feeling your best, book a visit with a Midi clinician. They can personalize a Care Plan to give you the hormonal—and whole body—support you deserve.

“I finally feel like myself again!”
- Amy G., Midi patient

At 40, my life was busier than ever, but I felt completely broken and not like myself. I came across an Instagram post from Dr. Mary Claire Haver and realized the symptoms she described sounded exactly like what I was experiencing. When I saw that she trusted Midi—and that Midi was covered by my insurance—I booked a visit right away.

I worried I’d be dismissed or told my symptoms were “normal.” Instead, my clinician believed me from the very first visit and set me up with a personalized Care Plan. The results have been incredible. The first big change was sleep—I stopped waking up at 4 a.m., which alone felt life-changing. On top of that, my joint pain disappeared, the strange itching in my ears stopped, my mood improved, my cholesterol numbers dropped, and I even lost a couple pounds.

What I want other women to know is how easy Midi makes everything. Scheduling is simple, communication is clear, and the virtual visits fit into any schedule. And the fact that Midi is covered by many insurance plans matters—women shouldn’t have to pay out of pocket for basic hormonal healthcare.
