How HRT Can Help You Lose Weight

Of all Midi patients, 87% deal with weight gain and body changes during perimenopause and menopause. If you’re looking to drop a few (or more) pounds, hormone replacement therapy (HRT) may help. While it’s not a weight-loss drug, HRT can make it easier to lose weight by easing midlife symptoms that interfere with healthy habits. Better sleep, more stable moods, and fewer hot flashes can make it easier to exercise consistently and prepare nourishing meals more often.

Now, a new study shows that combining HRT with the GLP-1 medication tirzepatide may enhance results even further. In the study, postmenopausal women who were overweight or obese and used both treatments lost an average of 17% of their body weight—compared with 14% for participants using tirzepatide alone.

Curious whether this approach could work for you? Book a Midi visit to discuss whether HRT or a personalized GLP-1 prescription—or both—could be the right fit for your midlife weight journey.

"Perimenopause is like reverse puberty—but there’s help!"

Lori W., 49

When I hit perimenopause, I started getting acne on my back and migraines—it felt like puberty all over again! On top of that, I’d wake up several times a night, and by morning, my sheets were soaked with sweat. And I was itchy.

My psychiatrist prescribed gabapentin for my restless leg syndrome, and that actually helped with my sleep. But I still needed more.

I’m so glad I was able to get on HRT through Midi—something my previous OB/GYN never even brought up. I used to get frequent migraines from oral birth control pills, but with the estrogen patch, that hasn’t been an issue at all.

I want other women to know that Midi is a game changer. It makes finding relief so easy.
